YEREVAN. – Operative assembly of the headship of the Armenian Armed Forces commenced Monday, at the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia.

Within the framework of cooperation between the armed forces of the two Armenian republics, representatives from the command staff of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) also are in attendance to this meeting, the MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the event, Armenian Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan delivered a lecture, entitled “Politico-Military Situation in the Region; Possible Developments Resulting from It.”

In his lecture, Tonoyan spoke about the key security challenges around Armenia and Artsakh, external threats, existing and probable developments in regional interests and conflicts, and the main guarantees to ensure favorable negotiating conditions for the Armenian party in the process to pacifically resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
