YEREVAN. – Under the Armenian law, there may be controlled inflation that does not exceed four percent, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Tigran Khachatryan said during the meeting of the standing parliamentary committee on economic affairs.

At the same time, the increasing prices ensure additional income for the companies.

“There is a certain increase in salaries which is one of prerequisites for economic growth, while there is no economic growth without moderate inflation,” Khachatryan said.

Speaking about the causes of inflation, the official added that it is related to limited resources in economy and the fight of business entities for these resources make them pay more than they did before.
