The funds for research in the military production sector are either spent with difficulties or aren’t spent at all since there is a need for a certain infrastructure and some professional potential for that. This is what Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in response to the question from Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security, MP of the My Step faction Andranik Kocharyan during a discussion on the report on the activities of the government in 2018. The discussion was held at the National Assembly on 27 March.

According to Pashinyan, military production is in dire need for funding. “Yes, Armenia has made some achievements because there are several projects, the implementation of which can lead to the production of serious and serial products,” Pashinyan said, adding that it is necessary to change the entire logic and philosophy of military production.
