The US campaign against the China's Huawei had little impact on the company's sales, said Huawei's rotating chairman Eric Xu, adding that it is unlikely that many countries will follow the call of the United States to ban Huawei equipment for creating 5G networks, Reuters reported.

“Recently we are seeing a large number of countries making their own decisions,” Xu said.

Although Australia has banned the use of Huawei technology for security reasons, European Union countries, such as Germany and France, said they would probably ignore the call from the United States.

Xu confirmed that Huawei's revenue grew by 36 percent in the first two months of 2019, and the company expects a 15 percent annual growth up to 125 billion dollars.

Huawei became the target of the United States due to fears that its equipment may be used by Beijing for spying. However, the company claims that the concerns are unreasonable.

According to Xu, he does not think that the United States is stepping up the attack the company, banning the sale of American Huawei. He noted that Huawei is the world's third largest buyer of computer chips, many of which are produced by American companies, and the ban on sales will be destructive for the global technology industry.

Huawei filed a lawsuit against the US Government over a law restricting market access.

In Canada, lawyers for Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of founder Ren Zhengfei, have sued the government over her arrest at the behest of the United States. She was charged with bank and wire fraud to violate U.S. sanctions against Iran.
