I feel the danger of war every hour. We always have to be ready for war. This is what Deputy of the National Assembly and chairman of the board of the Civil Contract Party Sasun Mikayelyan told journalists at the National Assembly on 28 March.

“I’m not saying there’s going to be a war, but Armenia always has to be ready for war. It’s a fact and the reality,” he declared.

Touching upon the latest statement by the OSCE Minsk Group and the likelihood of mutual concessions, Mikayelyan said the following:

“The OSCE Minsk Group has been talking about that for many years. The most important thing is for us to be strong. It’s still too early to talk about mutual concessions. Have the Azerbaijanis ever come to negotiate? There can’t be any mutual concessions,” he said.

The MP is certain that the solidarity of the people is what has delayed the war.

On 29 March, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Vienna. Recently, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared in parliament that there was no specific agenda for the meeting.
