At the initiative of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the negotiations between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev took place in Vienna, the PM's office reported.

The meeting started with the participation of Foreign Ministers of the two countries Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and  Elmar Mammadyarov, as well as  Igor Popov, Andrew Schoffer, Stephane Visconti, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

Afterwards, Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev continued discussions on the Karabakh conflict settlement during a private talk. At the end of the meeting the FMs and Co-chairs again joined them.

During the meeting that went on in a constructive atmosphere, Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev referred to the agreement reached in Dushanbe, highlighted the steps to strengthen the ceasefire regime and the improvement of the mechanisms of direct contact. The interlocutors stressed the importance of establishing favorable atmosphere for the negotiation process. The sides agreed to carry out a number of humanitarian actions.

The leaders of the countries tasked their foreign ministers to meet with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, agreeing to continue with the negotiations.
