Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan has met with the UN Deputy Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, spokesperson for Armenian MOD Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the sides discussed the issues related to the participation of Armenian units in UN peacekeeping missions.

The sides highlighted the importance of training specialized and francophone units, creating training skills and francophone forces in Armenia.

The two also disccused the possibilities of the participation of the UN humanitarian mission in Syria.
