Those wounded during the Four-day Artsakh War (April 2016) face legal issues (they are not granted disability categories), and we try to support them. This is what member of the Union for Participants of the Operations of the April War NGO Vahe Atanyan told journalists on 1 April.

“We have many wounded soldiers who have health-related and financial problems. The goal of the organization is to gather the participants of the military operations under one roof, deal with the solutions to their problems and maintain ties with the families of the victims,” Vahe Atanyan said.

The members of the NGO stated that the organization only accepts those who participated in the Four-Day Artsakh War in April 2016.

The participants of the war haven’t addressed the organization with any issue yet. Vahe Atanyan said it’s hard to achieve anything in the course of eight months. According to the members, the organization has tried to gain the trust of the veterans throughout these past months. “There are many NGOs that don’t instill confidence. We also have other projects that are in the works, but we won’t talk about them now,” Yurida Gabrielyan said.

The members of the NGO presented a couple of their upcoming programs, including a candlelight vigil at 19:00 and a march to Yerablur Military Pantheon. On 5 April, the organization will hold a concert dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Four-Day Artsakh War and will invite the parents of victims from Armenia and Artsakh.
