The Armenian and Russian Emergency Ministries will provide humanitarian aid to Iran after large-scale floods, RIA Novosti reported referring to Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to Mehr, at least 70 people have been killed as a result of floods in Iran. Due to floods roads in many Iranian provinces were blurred, infrastructure and houses were damaged and transport links were disturbed.

According to Russian MFA’s statement, in connection with the appeal of the Iranian side, it was decided to send over 4 thousand items of material resources (blankets, tents and other critically important nomenclature) by the Russian Emergencies Ministry forces along with the Armenian Emergency Ministry through the Russian-Armenian Center for Humanitarian Response at Russian expense.
