YEREVAN. – A group of employees from Armenia’s Spayka company, and who are protesting against remanding Spayka director Davit Ghazaryan in custody, closed off Tigran Mets Avenue in downtown capital city Yerevan, across the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.

Also, a brawl took place between the police and protesters.

Police were trying to take the car carrying Ghazaryan out from the court area, but the demonstrators did not allow the vehicle to pass.

The picketers were chanting demands to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and that they were going to fight until the end.

As reported earlier, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction on Monday morning ruled that Spayka company director Davit Ghazaryan be remanded in custody for two months.
