On 9 April, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Artur Vanetsyan received the delegation of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center led by the deputy director of the Center, Major-General S. G. Dudko, who has arrived to hold staff talks on the sidelines of the preparations for the “Ararat-Antiterror-2019” joint anti-terrorism training of the competent bodies of CIS countries to be held in the Republic of Armenia in September 2019. Among the participants will be the special services of CIS countries, the 102nd Russian military base, as well as interested ministries and government agencies of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation on the borders of CIS countries and the current threats emerging as a result of the changes that have been made in the strategies of international terrorist organizations following the organizations’ major losses in Syria and Iraq.

The parties also indicated the high level of partnership between the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center in the fight against terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism.
