On the last day of the year 2018, Pashinyan informed that the price of Russian gas would change, but the tariffs for the population would stay the same. Later, Gazprom informed that the Gazprom Armenia sister enterprise would purchase gas for $165 for 1,000 cubic meters instead of the previous $150. Later, the government clarified that the tariff for consumers would be maintained at the expense of reduction of expenditures of Gazprom Armenia.
