Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Igor Nazaruk, as the news service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Greeting Belarus’s Ambassador to Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan stated that the two countries have historically established friendly ties and stated that Armenia attaches importance to the active political dialogue in the bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as the effective cooperation within the scope of integration unions and structures and, in this context, welcomed the participation of the Prime Minister of Belarus in the April 30 session of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council to be held in Yerevan.

Belarus’s Ambassador to Armenia stated that the bilateral ties are growing dynamically and that Belarus is interested in the consistent deepening of cooperation with Armenia.

The Prime Minister touched upon the Armenian government’s actions aimed at improving the business climate and offered to introduce Belarusian business circles to the wide opportunities that Armenia has created for free economic activity. Ambassador Nazaruk assured that he would convey the message and stated that Belarus is interested in cooperation in municipal economy, infrastructures and information technologies.

Armenia’s Prime Minister and Belarus’s Ambassador to Armenia also exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and Armenia’s Prime Minister said it was important for Belarus to maintain a balanced approach to the settlement of the conflict from the perspective of ensuring stability and balance in the region.
