On 15 April, continuing his meetings with factions of the National Assembly of Armenia, President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian had a meeting with head of the Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan and the faction’s secretary Gevorg Gorgisyan, as reported the official website of the President of the Republic of Armenia to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Mentioning that the National Assembly has rather extensive work to do in a country with a parliamentary system, the interlocutors exchanged views on the parliament’s activities, agenda and its activities at the international level.

The MPs talked about Bright Armenia faction’s lawmaking activities and touched upon the faction’s programs and priority directions.

President Armen Sarkissian attached importance to the harmonious partnership of the legislature and other branches of government and expressed willingness to cooperate with and support the parliament within the scope of the powers reserved to him.
