I believe the changes in the structure of the government introduced in parliament will be adopted, but that government will be short-lived. This is what head of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly Edmon Marukyan told journalists on 16 April.

“I believe the new structure of the government will be short-lived since a government without ministries for agriculture, culture and Diaspora can’t function for a long time,” he stated.

He also touched upon the security sector. “The security sector has to be overseen by the National Assembly, and there is no question about that. This is what Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had promised as well, and I have raised issues about this.”
