On 16 April, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan accepted the case regarding former president of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer Land Defenders, former MP Manvel Grigoryan and his wife, Nazik Amiryan for proceedings.

The Court’s information system told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the case has been inscribed to Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.

According to the accusatory conclusion, by circumventing the restrictions provided for by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On weapons”, Manvel Grigoryan, acting in conspiracy with wife, Nazik Amiryan, son Arman Grigoryan and other persons unknown through investigation, illegally obtained, transferred and illegally kept — in three homes belonging to them — firearms, ammunition, firearm bullets, explosive devices and confiscated items.

Based on the charge, Nazik Amiryan, acting in conspiracy with husband, Manvel Grigoryan, son Arman Grigoryan and other persons unknown through investigation, illegally obtained, transferred and illegally kept — in three homes belonging to them — firearms, ammunition, firearm bullets, explosive devices and confiscated items.

Remand was selected as a preventive measure for Manvel Grigoryan, and a signature to not leave the country was selected as a preventive measure for Nazik Amiryan.
