Armenia will regulate Internet transit to Persian Gulf countries. This is what Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan declared in response to MPs’ questions during the question-and-answer session with government officials at the National Assembly on 17 April.

According to him, Armenia already ensures Internet transit to Iran and Iraq.

“Armenia plans on ensuring Internet transit to other Persian Gulf countries in the future, particularly Qatar,” Arshakyan informed.

He also stated that the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies has an agreement to create task forces and will soon hold discussions with representatives of all interested parties.
