The aspiration to make announcements about unreached agreements does not contribute to the creation of a normal working environment hinged on mutual trust. This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdalyan declared as she commented on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov’s statement on the US initiative to hold a regular meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington DC.

“As you know, every meeting devoted to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement is announced through an agreed procedure upon confirmation. The possibility of holding the future meeting in one of the co-chairing countries is actually being considered, taking into account the geography of former meetings.

Since this issue is still under consideration, it is necessary to refrain from making unilateral announcements and the working style of public talks. Moreover, making an announcement about the future meeting in one of the co-chairing countries is disrespectful towards the participants of the process, but first and foremost to the given co-chairing country,” Anna Naghdalyan declared.
