With 85 for and 20 against, the National Assembly of Armenia elected Garegin Baghramyan chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia during a secret ballot. This is what Chairman of the Counting Committee of the National Assembly Vahagn Hovakimyan declared after summing up the results of the secret ballot on April 18.

The chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission is elected by the majority of votes of the total number of deputies.

Garegin Baghramyan was nominated to the position of Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and was performing the duties of the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.
