Armenian authorities will continue working towards decentralization and local democracy development reforms.

The Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, Vache Terteryan, on Friday stated the abovementioned at the official opening of the School for Local Democracy.

In his words, this school is a good platform for training staff who will become active participants in the implementation of reforms in Armenia.

“For that we need new knowledge, new specialists,” Terteryan added. “Within the framework of the provinces’ development program, we consider to be expedient the programs that will enable to increase the access to financial resources.”

As reported earlier, the School for Local Democracy on Friday was officially opened in Aghveran village of Kotayk Province, and with US support.
