YEREVAN. – The government on Friday summed up the debates on property confiscation without accusatory conclusions. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has informed about this on his Facebook page.
“This law shall target corrupt officials, money launderers, criminal gang members,” the PM wrote. “The other people shall not have an affiliation with this law.”
As a result of these activities, there already is a bill on confiscation of property of unlawful origin.
The PM noted that even though there is an impression that these debates had begun after the velvet and nonviolent revolution in Armenia, in reality, the process on property confiscation without accusatory conclusions has another history, and the respective grounds are different.
