YEREVAN. – The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia will send documents to the competent authorities of Russia, with the case on the extradition of former National Assembly member Mihran Poghosyan. Gor Abrahamyan, advisor to the Prosecutor General of Armenia, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, the necessary procedures are implemented to carry out the process of handing Poghosyan over to the competent authorities of Armenia.

“At this moment, the package of documents required for it is being prepared, [and] which will be submitted to the Russian side within the prescribed timeframe, by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia,” Abrahamyan said.

As reported earlier, Russian law enforcement has detained Armenia’s ex-MP—and former head of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of Judicial Orders—Mihran Poghosyan, who is being searched by the Special Investigation Service of Armenia.
