The US considers Turkey’s procurement of the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems a strategic ploy for Moscow to create a rift between Ankara and its Western allies, said TASS official spokesman for the US Department of Defense Eric Pahon.

According to him, the Russian aggression in Georgia, Ukraine and Syria weakened Turkey’s security. Russia's aggressive proposal is a strategic ploy aimed at sowing a rift between Turkey and the West with the help of the S-400.
