French car giant Renault offered Japan’s Nissan to create a joint holding company which will give the companies equal opportunities, Reuters reported quoting a source.

According to the plan, the companies will appoint the equal number of directors to manage the holding. Renault’s Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard is expected to head the holding.

The proposal is targeted at further integration of the companies.
