Armenia faces the problem of preservation of monuments both in Armenia and the Diaspora, Azg daily writes.

According to a specialist in Armenian architecture Samvel Karapetyan, Armenian churches, recently built in the Diaspora, are not indicative of Armenian architecture.

“Most of these churches resemble modernist houses of culture. Vivid examples are Armenian churches St. Sargis and St. Vardanants in Tehran,” Karapetyan noted.

According to him, most of the architects of churches are not even Armenians.
