An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred off the west coast of Canada, US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The epicenter was located 323.8 kilometers south of Prince Rupert on the west coast of Vancouver Island in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of 12 kilometers.

There is no tsunami threat.
