An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 hit western coastal resort of Broome in Australia, Reuters reported referring to the US Geological Survey. 

According to residents, the impact shook some buildings and pushed groceries off shelves.

There have been no data on the injured yet.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located at a depth of 33 km, 203 km from the coast in the state of Western Australia.
