YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Monday visited the Sevan Startup Summit which is held for the fourth consecutive year, and which this year has brought together more than 1,000 young entrepreneurs from around the world.

First, the FM toured the Sevan Startup Summit camp and got familiarized with this program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

And during his subsequent talk around a bonfire, Mnatsakanyan said this youth that has assembled in Sevan reflects the spirit of individual freedom, abilities, confidence and boldness, and he spoke about the need for the full realization of the potential of the youth.

Touching upon the steps to be taken toward the development of information technology, innovation and startups in Armenia, the FM stressed that the main respective function of the country’s government is to create a suitable climate and platform.

“We [Armenians] are a people endowed with a high sense of identity, history,” Zohrab Mnatsakanyan added, in particular. “We are a very proud and confident people who know their history, and know what they wish for the future.”

Afterward, the Armenian FM responded to the questions posed by the participants of the 2019 Sevan Startup Summit.
