Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended today the opening of the new square in Khndzoresk. The square was built through funding provided by the village council.

A new statue (“Woman with Jug”) was also unveiled at the square, symbolizing a woman of Khndzoresk and the existence of uninterrupted water supply in the village.

Nikol Pashinyan left Khndzoresk for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) where he will give a speech at Renaissance Square in the evening.

This is the second time the Sparapet (Commander-in-Chief) Day event is held in Khndzoresk. It is a festive holiday commemorating Armenian commanders-in-chief of all times. The tombstone of Mkhitar Sparapet, hero of the Armenian national liberation struggle of the 18th century, is located in the yard of the Anapat Monastery in Khndzoresk.
