By the decision of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Edgar Khurshudyan has been dismissed from the office of head of the Health and Labor Inspection Body, as reported the media department of the Government.

During an August 2 press conference, Head of the Health and Labor Inspection Body Edgar Khurshudyan had declared that there was “some tension” in his relations with Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan. According to Khurshudyan, all the problems are concealed in the serious changes made in the healthcare sector, that is, as a result of reforms, inspection bodies have become independent and ceased to obey plenipotentiary bodies and ministries. Talking about his possible dismissal, Khurshudyan had stated that there was no word about his dismissal and that he continues and will continue to work until a relevant order from the Prime Minister, if, of course, there is ever such an order.
