Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) is Armenia, period. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared in his speech in Stepanakert. Nikol Pashinyan will be participating in the opening of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games to be held tomorrow.

The Prime Minister thoroughly listed the goals that Armenia has to achieve by the year 2050 and stated the following:

“Many might ask me why there is nothing mentioned about Artsakh. The answer is simple: Artsakh is Armenia, period. The programs will be carried out until 2050. For instance, the government will grant 100% access to healthcare earlier than that. The government has also made a decision to provide medical and hospital services for people under 18 at the expense of the state budget.”

According to him, after the rally, people will start discussing whether the programs are realistic or not.

“Every Armenian needs to ask himself two questions and answer them, and those two questions are the following: Is he ready to see Armenia be that kind of a homeland and is he ready to create such a homeland? This is a fundamental issue. We don’t need realistic programs anymore. We need unreal programs. The programs that everyone considers impossible to carry out can be carried out because the Armenian people have proved that the impossible is possible,” Pashinyan stated.

Pashinyan noted that he doesn’t agree with the claim that there is no homeland for capital and investments. According to him, the homeland is Armenia and Artsakh, and there are several claims for this, including people like Kirk Kerkorian, Vatche Manoukian, Eduardo Eurnekian, Samvel Karapetyan, Ruben Vardanyan and many others.
