The article of the BBC has nothing to do with reality. This is what former deputy commander of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovsky) told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I don’t know why the article was published, but it has nothing to do with reality. I think this is an order from our neighboring countries,” Samvel Karapetyan said.

The BBC, referring to some materials and interrogations at its disposal, writes that investigators in the March 1 case believe: The Karabakh security forces commanded by General Karapetyan opened fire on the demonstrators; During interrogations, investigators claimed that his unit was stationed in the basement of the presidential administration; The investigation believes that the unit was visited by two presidents - Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. Investigators also test the role of two influential businessmen Gagik Tsarukyan and Samvel Aleksanyan, who could finance the stay of Karabakh security forces in Yerevan during the days of the dispersal of the demonstration. However, the author writes that he could not receive independent confirmation of all the circumstances of the killing of the protesters.
