Uruguay supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa told reporters in Yerevan.
According to him, their country is facilitating the negotiation process within the OSCE Minsk Group, which is ongoing with the goal of reaching a solution based on UN principles.
When asked whether Azerbaijan is trying to exert pressure on Uruguay in matters of cooperation with Karabakh, the minister noted that they did not feel such pressure in their country.
At the same time, he noted that no one in the world would have risked trying to put pressure on Uruguay, given its achievements in building a democratic state.
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, in his turn, noted that he informed his colleague in detail about the negotiation process and presented the approaches of the Armenian side. The Minister noted that the security of the Karabakh population has been and remains a priority.
The FM highlighted the importance of creating an atmosphere for promoting negotiations. “I also explained our approach regarding the lack of an alternative to a peaceful settlement,” Mnatsakanyan noted.
