YEREVAN. – There is no shortage of political contacts with the United States, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said at a news conference on Wednesday.
When asked about the Armenian Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to the US to attend the UN session and the scope of his meetings to be held there, the FM drew attention to Armenia’s most recent contacts with the American side.
In Mnatsakanyan’s words, these contacts are—in principle—satisfying to the Armenian side, the high-level meetings are on the agenda, the work is in progress, and the matters are being discussed.
And in response to the query on the possibility of a reduction in US assistance to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the minister noted that this matter—as it happens every year—has been referred to the US House of Representatives, Senate and Presidential Administration for debates, and it is being debated on.
