The head of the Czech parliamentary friendship group with Syria, Stanislav Grospic, said the Turkish-American agreement to create the so-called “safe zone” in Syria is a criminal and abnormal act, adding that Washington and Ankara do not have any right to threaten Syria’s territorial integrity, SANA reported

In a statement to the Syrian news agency, Grospic noted that the Turkish and American presence in the Syrian territories is illegitimate and unjustified under any pretext, and they have no right to threaten the territorial integrity of Syria or to resolve issues on behalf of the Syrian people, or to conduct any operations on the territory of Syria without the permission of the Syrian government.

According to the agency, Grospic added that the Turkish and American sides are involved in supporting terrorism in Syria, and thus are responsible for prolonging the crisis in the country.

“He indicated that the Syrian people deserve to enjoy the peace and to go ahead in the reconstruction process and they don’t need the Turks or the Americans in that,” the source added.
