The State Revenue Committee of Armenia today hosted an international conference devoted to the challenges of taxation of electronic commerce, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the State Revenue Committee.

The event was attended by Head of the State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan, Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan and Vice-Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Vakhtang Abrahamyan. Among the participants were experts of the Big Four, employees of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, as well as employees of the Ministry of Finance and State Revenue Committee of Armenia.

Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee Mikayel Pashayan stated that regulation of the issues related to taxation of electronic commerce is one of the items on the Armenian government’s agenda and informed that an action plan will be drawn up after meetings with experts.

During the conference, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk presented the reforms that Russia has made in taxation of electronic services and electronic commerce and the outcomes of those reforms.
