I saw in the comments that last week was the day of one of my favorite cities, Kapan, but I didn’t know and didn’t congratulate. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, wrote this on his Facebook page.

“I solemnly promise to spend Kapan Day next year with the people of Kapan ([but] this doesn’t mean I will not visit Kapan during this time),” he added. “Until then, dear people of Kapan, accept my belated but warm and beloved congratulations. See you soon:)”

Kapan Day was celebrated on August 17, and this year’s celebration had the motto, “Strong family: flourishing Kapan.”
