YEREVAN. – The Investigative Committee of Armenia has ascertained several circumstances behind Sunday’s shootings in capital city Yerevan, and one person has been arrested. The information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee informed this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At 6:50pm, police received a call from a hospital that two Yerevan residents, born in 1976 and 1960, had been transferred to this medical center. One of them had a gunshot wound and his clinical death was pronounced, whereas the other also had a gunshot wound, and multiple fractures.   

The Investigative Committee launched a criminal case into this incident.

A gun with drum magazines, gun shells and pellets, and two switchblades were confiscated from the scene.

The identity of the suspect who committed this crime has been determined. He is a Yerevan resident, born in 1975.

He has been arrested.

The investigation is still in progress.
