Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan on Tuesday received outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjad, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the work that the ambassador has done. The minister also said the Ministry of Emergency Situations manages to resist fires of various sizes and degrees of danger almost everywhere in Armenia and stated that Armenia will address Iran for assistance, if necessary, and staying true to the centuries-old friendship between Iran and Armenia and the willingness for mutual assistance.

Seyyed Kazem Sajjad stated that he has warm feelings for Armenia and the Armenian people and will do his best to contribute to the Armenian-Iranian friendship wherever he may be. He expressed gratitude to the minister for the assistance provided during the flood in Iran and mentioned that the Iranian authorities have a great desire to continue the friendship and establish qualitatively new relations with Armenia.
