YEREVAN. – The investigators revealed new shocking details of the death of 18-months-old girl who was found dead in a trash can in Gyumri on August 31.

It was girl’s mother who wrapped adhesive tapes around her hands and feet, put a piece of fabric in her mouth and left her in a trash can covering by garbage, prosecutor of Shirak region Kren Gabrielyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The woman who was detained by police on Saturday evening explained her actions by poor social conditions and inability to raise and feed her daughter.

The child was found dead in a trash can by the residents of Gyumri, Shirak Province of Armenia. Police identified the girl and found her mother at around 7pm the same day. The woman was taken to the local police department.
