Leader of Yerkir Tsirani political party Zaruhi Postanjyan has issued a statement on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Independence of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic).
The statement reads as follows:
“The state of Artsakh is a major part of the origin of the Armenian nation and the cradle of its development. It is one of the twenty states of ancient Armenian statehood, the foundation and pivot of our modern-day statehood and the major citadel on the path to liberation of our lost Homeland.
It serves as visible evidence of the desires and the national liberation struggle of all Armenians around the world. Today, we are the lucky generation of the Armenian nation who enjoy having the Artsakh that we inherited from our forefathers, but we are delaying advancement of the liberated Artsakh. The voices of Armenian children have yet to be heard in the Arax Valley of Artsakh, a university for Armenian studies has yet to be built in Tigranakert, and Karvatchar has yet to become a center for tourism. Artsakh serves as the basis of the political plan of the Armenian nation. It is here from where the rebirth of the independent Armenia and the political rebirth of the Armenian nation begins.”
