YEREVAN. – We have many times dismissed this information. Currently an attempt is being made to again circulate the information already dismissed by the state agency with new made-up details which are also not true, and thus forming fake news consisting of several layers.

Anna Naghdalyan, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, told the aforesaid to Aysor.am, in connection with the reports that the US government has demanded from Armenian authorities to pull out their troops from Syria, and that a discussion has taken place on this matter.  

“We consider inadmissible the groundless speculations—stemming from petty personal interests—on the matters on the safety of the Armenian community in Syria and the assistance provided to the latter [the Syrian Armenian community],” she noted. “I would also like to add that the departments working in the security sector and their heads are in a constant consultation over various matters, about which it has many times been noted by the heads of those departments as well.”
