Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku, reports RIA Novosti.

According to RIA Novosti, issues related to the Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the security sector were discussed during the meeting. In addition, the parties discussed issues on economic, cultural and humanitarian ties and cooperation within the UN, the OSCE and other international organizations.

Patrushev on Wednesday will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ramil Usubov and will hold consultations over security issues.
