Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday had a meeting with representatives of Jermuk town of Vayots Dzor Province.

The situation regarding exploitation of the Amulsar gold mine was on the agenda. In particular, the procedures for the Environmental Impact Assessment, monitoring, as well as the legal, economic and environmental aspects of the issue and public concerns were touched upon during the meeting.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the public-private dialogue over issues of public concern and stated that the solution to the issue related to the Amulsar gold mine project must be hinged on the balanced interest of the Republic of Armenia and that the government will take its future actions by taking into account the importance of observing all the components of the project as a complex.
