Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin met with Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Hayk Grigoryan in Saint Petersburg, reports the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting held in Smolny, the heads of the Committees discussed the results of the inter-agency cooperation and the future plans for strengthening and development of cooperation between the Investigative Committees of Russia and Armenia.

Bastrykin stated that implementation of the memorandum of mutual understanding between the Committees will promote sustainable development of bilateral ties. Talking about the professional orientations of the new generation, the Russian Investigative Committee’s chairman presented the results of the “Young Investigator” Program held at children’s centers with Armenian investigators and informed about holding theme-based meetings for children of the employees of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in the summer.

Taking into consideration the intensive development of cooperation between the Committees, Bastrykin supported the Belarusian counterparts’ initiative to hold joint sessions with representatives of the Investigative Committees of Armenia, Belarus and Russia twice a year. Hayk Grigoryan positively assessed this format of a working meeting and stated that the cooperation allows to solve the practical issues in an efficient and operative manner.
