YEREVAN. – Despite Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan’s assurances that Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Armenia on October 1 to participate in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, a Zhamanak (Time) newspaper source close to the Russian embassy informs that they have no specific information regarding the visit, the paper reported.

“According to our source, the embassy is as informed [about this matter] as the public.

“Currently, the embassy is not carrying out any activities in connection with preparation for the visit,” Zhamanak wrote.
