During a discussion in Jermuk town, Ashot Ashotyan, who presented himself as an international sport master, the president of the Karate Federation and the founder of a civic initiative, said some second-class company shouldn’t think it can dominate Armenia.

“I have heard a statement that both the Prime Minister and Mount Amulsar have immunity. Nobody has immunity, but Mount Amulsar has immunity. The people have made their decision. This concerns the Armenians of all parts of Armenia. This is the result of global corruption,” he stated, assuring that nobody from another country can decide on behalf of the Armenians and that Armenians from all parts of the country will stand by the residents of Jermuk when they call on them.

Citizen of Jermuk Armen Khachatryan shared his impressions of the meetings with the Prime Minister. “I got the impression that the residents of Jermuk need to save the country, and it turns out that the whole economy depends on us,” he said. Khachatryan said the road will not be opened, the mine will not be exploited and the residents of Jermuk have decided that Mount Amulsar will remain a mountain.
