Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu accused the US of delaying talks on creating a security zone in northeastern Syria, RIA Novosti reported.

According to him, the behavior that the US demonstrates does not satisfy Ankara.

Earlier, Turkish-American talks on creating a safe zone in northern Syria ended in Ankara. According to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, Ankara and Washington reached an agreement on the establishment of a coordination center for joint operations and the planned security zone in northern Syria. Official Damascus strongly opposed this agreement, since, according to the Syrian government, it is a blatant attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and a gross violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
