Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Wednesday received the delegation led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper.

As reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, greeting the guests, Minister Mnatsakanyan noted that further strengthening and deepening of the friendly and partnering ties with the United States has been and remains one of Armenia’s foreign policy priorities.

The foreign minister and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense highly appreciated the ongoing cooperation between the US and Armenia within the scope of the NATO Partnership for Peace and the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and, in this context, Minister Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia’s willingness to continue and expand its contributions to the international efforts for maintenance of peace and humanitarian operations.

Minister Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy and security priorities, as well as the country’s fundamental position on and approaches to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He also highly appreciated the efforts that the US government is making for a peaceful settlement along with the other co-chairing countries.
