The National Assembly of Armenia today adopted the law on making supplements and amendments to the Law “On state service in the Staff of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia” (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”), by which the Law has been supplemented with Article 28.1 (a state servant has been granted 4 more days of leave), which contradicts Article 161 of the Labor Code of Armenia. This is what former Chief of Staff of the National Assembly Arsen Babayan wrote on his Facebook page.

He clarified that “by the Labor Code, the legislature has reserved that power exclusively to the Government; therefore, such a regulation could not be envisaged by law.”
